It’s been a while since I’ve updated this site, but I thought I’d share my annual Valentine’s Day picture. This year, it’s Future Trunks and Future Mai from Dragon Ball Super. This is the rare case of a Dragon Ball couple that actually has some decent development behind it, so I’ve been wanting to draw these two for some time now. Hope everyone enjoys it.
Valentine's Day 2023
This Valentine’s Day picture is inspired by a great My Hero Academia fancomic called “Princess and the Hero” by Clawde. I like doing artwork and stories about awkward, earnest characters like Tsuyu, so I decided that 2023 was the year to go all green with Valentine’s Day!
Valentine's Day 2022
It’s been a year since I’ve updated the site, on Valentine’s Day 2021. I’ve actually been doing a lot of stuff this past year, so I should probably update for frequently. This year’s Valentine Day picture is Scott Pilgrim and Knives Chau, to ride the wave of the recent Scott Pilgrim resurgence. There’s a lot I want to say about the Scott Pilgrim movie and its alternate ending, but I figure I’d get this picture out first and see how it does.
Valentine's Day 2021
This year’s Valentine’s Day picture is Jason and Eve from Blaster Master Zero. I had a hard time choosing up with the subject for Valentine’s Day 2021; it was very nearly going to be another Legend of Zelda picture. But I really like the character designs from Blaster Master Zero, so this got chosen. Hope you enjoy it..
This Year's Valentine: A Wrinkle in Time
Meg Murry and Calvin O'Keefe from the "Time" books by Madeline L'Engle. Meg is a rare heroine that we don't see often these days, with straight-forward, clumsy emotions but also keen intellect. She and Calvin are both very intellectual, and the development in their relationship is some of the best you can get in YA fiction. They have been converted to my style, so Meg now has a suitable "anime meganekko" look about her.
(Happy Valentine's Day!)
Valentine's Day 2019: Goku and Suno
This year’s Valentine’s Day submission is Goku and Suno from Dragon Ball. Even though I already did Dragon Ball for 2012, I decided to give it another go, since I thought it would be easy to draw and make it look good. Plus, I’ve been wanting to do a Goku/Suno pic for some time, and it helps round out the other Goku couples I’ve done. I’m just glad I got it done in time; I pushed it to the wire!
