Moonlighers: Version 1.1.0

The latest version of my game, Moonlighters, has just been released on GameJolt! Version 1.1.0 adds new artwork for the cutscenes, and makes all four characters (Andy, Tarah, Clark, and Moses) available at the onset. I’ve also added a new animation for the Credits screen, which you can see below.

Moonlighters Released!

Today marks the official release of Moonlighters at GameJolt! After almost 4 years, it’s hard to believe I’ve seen this project all the way to the end. There’s a lot more work to be done trying to promote the game, but I can rest a little now that the core task is done. Regardless of whether the game is successful or not, in my heart, the satisfaction of finishing it is worth its weight in gold.

Moonlighters Version 25.0

MAJOR update for the Moonlighters game! Version 25.0 offers two levels, four playable characters, a new shop system, and a host of other fixes. For instance, Andy has been given a buff; his attack speed is 20% faster now. Check it out at the Original section.

UPDATE 11-11-20: Changed version to 26.0. Hit detection bugs have been addressed, and an additional edit was given to Tarah’s ranged attack.

Artist's Retreat

About two weeks ago, I took a trip to my uncle’s cabin for a weekend vacation. Cut off from the internet and the outside world, I decided to take the opportunity to make some new sketches. I’ve just now finished the colored versions of the pictures, so there’s a plethora of new artwork in the Original section. Also, I have finished a new version of my 2010 story series, Rematch!, so check that out too if you will.

Moonlighters DEMO!

I’ve finally posted the demo for the videogame I’ve been working on for the past half-year! It’s called “Moonlighters,” and it’s a spin-off of “Different and Cool” that takes place 7 years later. As Andrew Champion, work your way to the end of the stage while fighting off the Mr. Blobs, R.E.M.s, and Claw Eyes that infest the area. It’s still a very rough demo, but I’ve ensured that it’s fun, so please check it out if you’re interested.

Different and Cool - Over Coffee and Cake

Added a short extra chapter to Different and Cool, showing what happened when Aunt Mary came to pick up Andy from Tarah’s house. After 10+ years of writing D&C, I’ve just about gotten to the point where I can write about any character adequately. This extra bit is mainly here to balance out the two original D&C stories (DIfferent and Cool, Different and Cool: Love’s a Polygon) so that both of them have a bonus chapter. I’m also posting the entire series as one story at Archive of Our Own, so I needed to have this chapter in place before I continue posting chapters.

Story Summaries

Decided to port some of the FictionPress/FanFiction.Net story summaries over to this site. Originally, the Original Works section and the KND section didn’t have summaries to avoid spoiling the story, but I decided that summaries would be more tantalizing to the reader, if I ever get anybody to come to this site. I’m still messing around with the formatting of the text to get it to look as appealing as possible. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get some more feedback soon.
